The meeting was aimed at jointly developing a plan of action for the reaffirmation of the common land boundary between the two countries. The meeting also outlined strategies for Cross Border activities under the AU Convention on Cross Border agreement along the Ghana and Burkina Faso border. In attendance at the opening ceremony was the Ambassador of Ghana to Burkina Faso, HE Boniface Gambilla.
