The exercise, sponsored by the German government using GIZ as the implementing agency, forms part of the 4th phase of the ongoing joint land boundary reaffirmation along the Ghana\/Togo land boundary targeted at an approximate distance of 100km. <br \/>The sensitisation was aimed at educating the border communities on the joint reaffirmation exercise and also highlighting the importance of international boundaries to the population. The National Coordinator of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Kotia; and the Director of Territorial Administration and Boundaries of the National Land Boundary Commission of Togo, Mr. Kadanga Patchassi, in their separate remarks, appealed to the traditional authorities and community residents to provide maximum support to the Joint Ghana\/Togo Technical Team during the three week exercise. They emphasised that the exercise was not to demarcate the boundaries but a re-affirmirmation of pillars that defined the boundaries.<br \/>Dignitaries that participated in the joint community sensitisation included: Hon Joshua Makubu, Oti Regional Minister; Hon Kofi Adams, MP for Buem constituency; Hon Janet Emefa Obro- Adibo, DCE for Guan district assembly; Mr. Kouevi-Koko Folly, Pr\u00e9fet for Danyi in Togo; Members of the Regional and District Security Council; staff of the two Boundary Commissions; and the
