The objective was to sensitise traditional leaders, opinion leaders and other stakeholders on issues related to boundary encroachment in buffer zones of the international land boundary and also to promote cooperation between the community and border officials for the effective management of the Ghana\/Burkina Faso boundary. The team inspected Boundary Pillars 551, 552 and 553, emphasising the importance of respecting boundary markers and preserving the territorial sovereignty of the country.<br \/>The Commissioner General of GhBC, Maj Gen Emmanuel Kotia, urged local authorities to resolve all encroachment issues along the international boundary line. The Bongo District Chief Executive, Mrs. Rita Atanga, called on traditional leaders and the community to avoid encroaching buffer areas along the international boundary. Other speakers emphasised cross-border cooperation, peaceful coexistence and enhancing security through intelligence and information sharing.<br \/>The event was attended by the Paramount Chief of Bongo Traditional Area, Bonaba Salifu Baba Atamale Lem Yaarum, sub chiefs, the military, other border security officials staff and the West Africa Program Director from Conciliation Resources, Mrs Janet Adama Mohammed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ade97bd e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\"
