The project was funded by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).<br \/>Speaking at the commissioning, the Commissioner of the General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Anthony Ntem, reaffirmed the Commission\u2019s commitment to advancing human security, inclusive development, and community resilience along Ghana\u2019s international boundaries. He underscored the strategic importance of New Town as Ghana\u2019s last border community to the west and emphasised its vital role in safeguarding peace and security along Ghana\u2019s Western frontier. She added that the project is a testament to the strong collaboration between GNPC and the Ghana Boundary Commission in promoting development in border communities.
