Held from 19 to 20 November 2025, the programme brought together participants from Boundary Commissions across West Africa for both theoretical sessions and hands-on field exercises in drone operations. As part of the orientation, participants also toured a local drone assembly site in Accra. <br \/>Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Brigadier General Anthony Ntem, underscored the urgent need for Boundary Commissions in the sub-region to embrace modern technology. He also noted that the orientation is the first in a series of capacity-building initiatives the Commission plans to champion to strengthen regional expertise in technology-driven boundary governance.<br \/>Dr Sanou Bakari, Head of GIZ\/AUBP, highlighted that the event marked the first of its kind since the establishment of GIZ\/AUBP in 2007.
