Ghana Boundary Commission Conducts Maritime Boundary Inspection along Western Frontiers

In fulfillment of its mandate to safeguard the territorial integrity of Ghana’s land and maritime boundaries, the Ghana Boundary Commission conducted maritime boundary inspection exercise along the Western Frontiers from 27 to 30 March 2023. The exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Ghana Navy.

The exercise, which took place both at sea and onshore, was aimed at evaluating Ghana’s Western Maritime Boundary and the status of Ghana’s Western Maritime and Land Boundary. Ghana Navy ship was used for the inspection. The technical team used a surveillance maritime drone on board the ship to verify any possible violations up 50 nautical miles at sea.
The National Coordinator of the GhBC led a team to assess the inspection at the site on 30 March 2023.
