The Ghana Boundary Commission and the National Land Boundary Commission of Togo jointly organised a 2-day community sensitisation programme at Likpe, in the Oti Region of Ghana and Yikpa, Togo on 25 and 26 January 2024 respectively. The exercise, sponsored by the German government using GIZ as the implementing agency, forms part of the 4th phase of the ongoing joint land boundary reaffirmation along the Ghana/Togo land boundary targeted at an approximate distance of 100km.
The sensitisation was aimed at educating the border communities on the joint reaffirmation exercise and also highlighting the importance of international boundaries to the population.
