The Ghana Boundary Commission, with support from GIZ/AUBP, organised a community sensitisation exercise at Agotime Ziope in the Volta Region, as part of the Joint Ghana/Togo Land Boundary Reaffirmation exercise. The exercise, which brought together communities from both countries, was to increase awareness among residents living along the International Boundary from Ave Dakpa to Wli Afegame on maintaining and respecting the common boundary between Ghana and Togo.
Leading the exercise, the National Coordinator of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Kotia; and the Permanent Secretary of the National Land Boundary Commission of Togo, Dr. Lardja Douti educated residents in attendance on the importance of maintaining the International Boundaries.
In attendance also were the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio; Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Archibald Yao Letsa; MP for Agortime Ziope, Hon. Charles Agbeve; MCEs and DCEs for Agortime Ziope, Akatsi North,Ho, Ho West, Afadzato South and Hohoe.
