As part of the mandate of the Ghana Boundary Commission, the Commission in collaboration with the Ghana Navy, conducted the third maritime boundary inspection exercise along Western Frontiers of the maritime domain of Ghana (around the vicinity of the Tweneboa Enyenra Ntomme (TEN) Oil Fields) covering a total distance of 271 Nautical Miles. The primary objective of the exercise was to assess the status of the Western maritime boundary line to ensure that there were no illegal activities or violations along the maritime boundary with Cote d’ Ivoire. The inspection was undertaken as part of the implementation of the ITLOS ruling on the Ghana/Cote d’ Ivoire maritime boundary dispute.
