Students from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management paid a study visit to the Ghana Boundary Commission

Students from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management paid a study visit to the Ghana Boundary Commission on Monday, 9 September 2024. The visit which forms part of the College’s African Study Tour to various socio-political, economic, and military institutions in Ghana, is aimed at providing insight into the activities and operations of the Commission in relation to boundary management in Ghana.

Receiving the delegation, the Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Emmanuel Kotia, highlighted some of the activities that have been undertaken by the Commission over the years. He also took the opportunity to differentiate the work of the Commission and those of other border-related institutions and agencies in the country.

In his remarks, the Director of Administration of the College and leader of the delegation, Colonel Ibrahim Madagali Ismaila, extended his appreciation to the Commissioner General and his staff for his detailed presentation on the operations and achievements of the Commission. Additionally, he answered questions and clarified all issues raised by the students. He further reiterated the collaborative relationship between Ghana and Nigeria at various levels and stressed on the need to strengthen this relationship through knowledge and skill exchange.

Present at the meeting were Colonel Emmanuel Sholaton, the Nigerian Defence Attaché to Ghana, senior officers from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management, and some Executive Committee members of the Commission.
