Ghana Boundary Commission Inspects Ghana/Burkina Faso Boundary Line

 The Ghana Boundary Commission (GhBC) and the National Boundary Commission of Burkina Faso conducted a joint boundary inspection along the Ghana/Burkina Faso boundary line at Paga (Ghana) and Dakola (Burkina Faso). The collaborative effort involved relevant security agencies as well as local authorities. The aim of the inspection was examine the state of boundary pillars and the extent of encroachments on buffer areas along the International boundary line.

The Ghana team was led by Major General Kotia, Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Mr Laud Afrifah, Deputy Controller-General of Immigration, Alhaji Iddrisu Seidu, Commissioner for CEPS and Brig Gen Frank Tei, the GOC North Command1.

Also present at the exercise were Hon Stephen Yakubu, the Regional Minister of Upper East Region HE Boniface Gambilla, Ambassador of Ghana to Burkina Faso and Hon Gerard Ataogye, the Kasena-Nankana West District.
