Ghana Boundary Commission Sensitization Programme at Paga Border

The National Boundary Commissions of Ghana and Burkina Faso jointly organised a border community sensitisation exercise for the population living along the Ghana/ Burkina Faso Boundary Line on 5 April 2024 at the border communities of Paga and Dakola. The exercise was aimed at increasing the awareness of the population due to encroachments on the buffer areas along the international boundary line between Ghana and Burkina Faso. 

There were addresses by the Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission and the Permanent Secretary of the Burkina Faso Boundary Commission. In attendance were Hon Stephen Yakubu, the East Regional Minister; HE Boniface Gambilla, Ghana’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso; Hon Gerard Ataogye, Kasena-Nankana West District Chief Executive; Mr Laud Affrifah, Deputy Commissioner of Immigration; Alhaji Iddrisu Seidu, the Commissioner for CEPS; Brig Gen Frank Tei, the GOC North Comd, staff of both commissions, relevant security services and the media.
